I grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. I got my first computer when I was 8 years old, a Commodore 64. I learned to program PET BASIC and wrote my own role playing game.

Portfolio

For 7 years I worked for Emory University as an Enterprise Middleware Administrator IV. I primarily worked on integrations to the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and architected a highly available JBoss EAP platform. Previously I worked for Velti, a provider of mobile marketing and advertising technology, managing the mobile internet platform. I also worked as a configuration manager and systems engineer for Air2Web, a wireless application service provider that was acquired by Velti in 2011.

For the past 2 years I've been away from IT due to a serious medical condition. I worked on these projects to keep my skills sharp and my passion burning.
